About the Project

This project was developed as part of the Design Challenge at Encora’s Design Hackathon 2025. Together with a talented team of three designers, we identified a critical problem, conceptualized a solution, and developed an approach to effectively address it

Problem Statement

Drug shortages disrupt treatment, raise costs, and compromise patient care due
to supply chain inefficiencies and lack of predictive insights. The absence of
real-time monitoring and alternative medication mapping makes managing shortages difficult, leading to delays and limited options for providers. AI-driven forecasting and automated supply tracking can help mitigate these risks.

For our existing project called Altruix, who serves behavioural health and disability patients, these challenges are even more critical. Proactive shortage prediction and alternative drug recommendations are essential to ensure uninterrupted care.
